What personally identifiable information does Zenpire collect from me?
Zenpire collects information in several ways from different parts of our network of web sites.
Some personal information is gathered when you register. During registration, Zenpire asks for your name, e-mail address, work address, zip code, land phone number, cell phone number, fax number, and other contact information. The more information you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we are able to involve you in future enhancements or concerns.. Once you register, you are no longer anonymous to Zenpire - you are given a Zenpire ID and are able to take full advantage of Zenpire's many offerings.
What are cookies and how does Zenpire use them?
(1) Remind us of who you are and to access your account information (stored on our computers) in order to deliver to you a better and more personalized service. This cookie is set when you register or "Login" and is modified when you "Logout" of our services.
(2) Estimate our audience size. Each browser accessing Zenpire is given a unique cookie which is then used to determine the extent of repeat usage, usage by a registered user versus by an unregistered user, and to help target advertisements based on user interests and behavior.
(3) Optimize set-up of the web-site. This information collected by cookies is sometimes called "click stream" or "click trail" and may also describe which pages you have seen and the order. Certain patterns might be noticed and the most common lengthier patterns might be changed to provide for quicker, "less-click" access to desired information.
(4) Measure certain traffic patterns, which areas of Zenpire's network of web sites you have visited, and your visiting patterns in the aggregate. We use this research to understand how our users' habits are similar or different from one another so that we can make each new experience on Zenpire a better one. We may use this information to better personalize the content, banners, and promotions that you and other users will see on our sites.
Zenpire also collects IP addresses for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers.
How does Zenpire use my information?
Zenpire's primary goal in collecting personal and contact information is to provide you, the user, with a customized and accurate experience on our site. This includes personalization services, interactive communications, online ordering, and many other types of services, most of which are completely free to you. Zenpire will also use information to identify abusers of account information and those individuals posting harmful and unprofessional text on the message board. Once identified, the account will be deleted.
Much of the information entered by you, the user, is needed for the billing and invoicing process. Since Zenpire software is rented, Zenpire will need a variety of methods to contact the respective decision makers and financiers in your organization periodically to invoice and to grant activation keys. Breaks in the contact line will cause the software to expire unexpectantly, most often at the most inopportune time.
Zenpire will NOT sell contact information to other companies as marketing lists.
Who is collecting information?
When you are on a Zenpire site and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information with Zenpire alone, unless it is specifically stated otherwise. If data is being collected and/or maintained by any company other than Zenpire, you will be notified prior to the time of the data collection or transfer. If you do not want your data to be shared, you can choose not to allow the transfer by not using that particular service.
Promotions that run on Zenpire may be sponsored by companies other than Zenpire or may be co-sponsored by Zenpire and another company. Some or all data collected during a promotion may be shared with the sponsor. If data will be shared, you will be notified prior to the time of data collection or transfer. You can decide not to participate in the promotion if you don't want your data to be shared. Currently, most Zenpire promotions are limited to US or North American residents.
Please be aware that Zenpire Internet access partners, advertisers, and web sites that have links on our site may collect personally identifiable information about you. The information practices of those Internet access partners, advertisers, and web sites linked to Zenpire are not covered by this privacy statement.
With whom does Zenpire share my information?
As a general rule, Zenpire will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires it or under the circumstances described below. Please see the Terms of Service or Use Agreements for each of our products and services for more detailed information about how your personal information may be shared. The following describes some of the ways that your information may be disclosed.
Third Party Data & Data in the Aggregate : Under confidentiality agreements, Zenpire may match user information with third party data. Also, Zenpire discloses aggregated user statistics (for example, 37% of our users are process engineers) in order to describe our services to current and prospective partners, advertisers, and other third parties, and for other lawful purposes.
Other: Zenpire may also disclose account information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating Zenpire's Terms of Service or may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) Zenpire's rights or property, other Zenpire users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. Zenpire may disclose or access account information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it and for administrative and other purposes that we deem necessary to maintain, service, and improve our products and services.

Zenpire may, from time to time, send you e-mail regarding our products and services. In addition, if you indicated upon registration that you are interested in receiving offers or information from Zenpire and our partners, we may occasionally send you direct mail about products and services that we feel may be of interest to you. Only Zenpire (or agents working on behalf of Zenpire and under confidentiality agreements) will send you these direct mailings and only if you indicated that you do not object to these offers. If you do not want to receive such mailings, simply tell us when you give us your personal information. Or, at any time you can easily edit your Zenpire Account Information to no longer receive such offers and mailings. You will need your Zenpire ID and Password in order to access your Zenpire Account Information.
On some types of Zenpire promotions, we will ask for your e-mail address in order to update you on your score, entries, and status in prize drawings. When you participate in these types of promotions, you automatically receive promotion-related e-mail, unless you choose the no-e-mail option that some promotions offer. Occasionally these promotion-related e-mail messages may include targeted advertisements.
You also have choices with respect to cookies. By modifying your browser preferences, you have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If you choose to reject all cookies, you will be unable to use those Zenpire services that require registration in order to participate.
Zenpire does not sell or rent user information to anyone . We will notify you at the time of data collection or transfer if your data will be shared with a third party, and you will always have the option of not permitting the transfer. If you do not wish to allow your data to be shared, you can choose not to use a particular service or not to participate in certain promotions or contests.

How Zenpire treats your yield and processing information ;
Any yield information (yield wafer maps, defect files, WIP information) is considered industry-confidential and will not be released to anyone outside of Zenpire - even to other engineers in your organization. However, in some occasions Zenpire might need some data to demonstrate capabilities of Zenpire or third party support software. Zenpire will request, in writing, that we use a sample of your data. Zenpire might "scrub" the data (remove/alter lot numbers, wafer numbers, device names ...) to unlink the data to your facility. You must provide written authorization for Zenpire to utilize this data. In return, you will benefit from a wider acceptance of Zenpire products, thus receiving better support and features from Zenpire.
Any e-mail sent to Zenpire is considered confidential and will not be forwarded outside of Zenpire personnel without your written approval.
However, any information posted by you on the Zenpire message boards will not be considered industry-confidential and thus will be displayed to all those who peruse the message boards without Zenpire's intervention. You can contact Zentopic to remove any messages created by you to remove them from the board. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to have any information removed.
What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of my information?
Your Zenpire Account Information is password-protected so that you and only you have access to this personal information. You may edit your Zenpire Account Information by using your Zenpire Login Name and password.
We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. Zenpire will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited e-mail. Also remember to sign out of your Zenpire account and close your browser window when you have finished your work. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place like a library or Internet cafe.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, Zenpire cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online.
